Founded by Dr. Sikander Lalani, Roofings Group launched operations in 1994 as a small but determined business.

Roofings divided its pioneer establishment in Uganda into Roofings Limited (RL) and Roofings Rolling Mills Limited (RRM) specializing in the production of world-class steel and plastic construction products. This proved to be successful and led to the birth of Roofings Kenya Ltd (RKL).

Roofings Kenya, a subsidiary of Roofings Group, is an established and reputable manufacturer of Hot-Dipped Galvanized Wire having its factory at Mazeras, Kenya with an installed capacity of 50,000 Metric Tons per annum.

Using top-of-the-range wire rods, while employing the latest cutting-edge European technology from Belgium & Italy, Roofings Kenya produces high-quality hot-dipped galvanized wire. The wire meets a wide variety of applications in the following industries:

Fencing Industry
- Manufacture of barbed wire, chain links, and razor wire.
- Installation of electric fences.
Cabling Industry
- Armoring electric cables.
- Manufacture of stay wire.

Construction Industry
- Manufacture of gabion boxes.
- Manufacture of galvanized weld-mesh.
- Manufacture of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) panels.

The hot-dipped galvanized wire produced is as per the below quality scope:
